Also poke around http://www.up1.co.uk for R1 boxsets & thinpacks, you might get them cheaper, but there will be postage on top of it.

    Cheers for that.

Managed to pick up Cowboy Bebop 1-26 for £14.49 including delivery on ebay just a few minutes ago.

Don't really fancy paying £50 for Bubblegum Crisis (same price on ebay as on play.com). Was in an auction for it at the weekend but was outbid by 50p :(

Totally legit of course.... I am not sure what the precise ruling on this forum is (I can't remember) but it I think its anti-bootleg. Fansubs Okay, no linking, no licensed.

I really can't remember, but it was brought up a while ago, and I was kind of surprised that it was stricter than I expected (seeign as the discussion here is a bit looser that way). Ebay advocacy is practically HK bootleg advocacy.

My personal grudge against bootlegs is that all this money goes to organised crime in those countries. So lazy/chav westerners finance the operations of criminals in those countries, helping them to assist in racketeering, smuggling and all kinds of trafficking, and otherwise oppress the citizens there.

Bar the price being an indicator it's difficult to know what is and what isn't bootleg on ebay. If people aren't linking to the auctions it really isn't clear at all. I'm sure there are bargains to be found on ebay for legit boxsets I guess it depends on the seller details.

Boards is anti-bootleg anything (I've had enough stress with mixtapes on the Hip-Hop forum to know all about it) so ebay auctions that sell bootlegs are I'm sure not allowed to be discussed here either.
