Cat tree DIY!

    Step 1: Quality control done by our kitten Milse. :)

    Step 2: Posts are attached to the base and trays assembled.

    Step 3: Carpet attached and lower tray attached.

    Step 4: Nearly completed, all we have to do is attach a hammock below the bottom tray and between the two 4x4's.

    These things are $150+ in the shops and we paid around $50 in total for what we need to put this thing, if I can do it then anyone can. :)

    Hmmmm <scratches chin> wonder if there's a market for these things...

    Reminds me of a book I bought while I was in the US a few weeks ago - it's the story of a couple who gave over a large part of their house in DIY'ing cat-runs and the like (and it's not as sad as it sounds :D )

    Much cheaper, about $40-50 for all the timber+nails and we had some old carpet laying around from another project.

    franksm, I was chatting about the same thing to my wife the other day. It would be fairly easy to put something like that together if you had the proper tools, have it all automated nearly. :)
