    Hi all,
I would like to build a water-cooled pc in the next few months, I thought it might be an idea if there was a thread here for water-cooling basics (similar to the "Basic info for a quiet PC" thread that is a sticky here), where the best recommended components can be suggested, as well as help for those undertaking the task of water-cooling their system.

So, anyone who feels up to the challenge of creating a basic howto for water cooling, please post here.

    Could we use the Biki?

As with everything in pc building its a arguement between cost/performance. Who wants to write up a wiki? I cant be bothered. All you need to know is pump-->rad---->Block-->res/T-line. Oh yeah, lets get a arguement over high flow/low flow setups. Passive can stay in whatever little corner it hides in.

Im in the process of doing this now actually. Im newish to watercooling, this will be my fourth attempt at it now. So i plan on doing 2 versions of it, one for beginners step by step all in laymans terms, and everything explained in simple english.

And the second for more advanced users, who have done it before but need a refresher.

yeah i will do mate. Im thinking of doing it in different configs too. As i plan to watercool 2 of the hdds. the cpu , nb and two grahics cards. Will explain how and where to mount rads and pumps, and how to do tubing. and what additives and inert liquids to use

If you dont mind me asking, why? Even a low cfm/dec fan will cool it better than any hard-drive water block out there, and it adds distance and restrictions within your loop. Same with the north-bridge, there is no real point to water cooling it, and it will be detrimental to the cooling soultion as a whole.

Btw, if you get some zerox can you send me some?

i would just like to have alot of kit, im thinking 2 loops. nothing too fancy though, Knowing me i will prolly opt out of hdd cooling, as i do know its not that good. What i cant make my mind up for is a case, ive been drooling over a MM cube but i just dont know. Some pics of some nice mad cases would be nice. Have to be real big though

Edit:See now what MM could mean :(

Hopefulls, case with some more mod work and a triple radiator? Mabye a dual somewhere else. Hmm might look into that.

Hopefull if you can see this, do you think your case could accomadate a triple and dual 120mil rad for 2 loops?

I'd be willing to lay out an "overview" structure, I'm doing a bit of reading up on parts and specs and stuff at the moment so I'll be mentally doing it anyways. Feel free to correct the mistakes I make and add high value-performance ratio parts (quality stuff that doesn't cost the earth, not Thermaltake cack).

krazy, vent in the form of performance Vs noise Vs price Vs aesthetics, high vs low flows

That damn great case could easily hold a triple and double...without cutting any other holes in it. Could also take a couple more with some light Dremel work.
Its available if its of any use.

    :)
