Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ok this might not be the best place to post this but anyway here its goes.

I want to have a setup where anyone that connects to a network is first presented with a splash screen which details and term and conditions of using the said network and once they click accept they can then browse the net. Now I want this to be in place for people connecting via wireless AP's or via wired connections. Anyone does this in the pas or know how?

    Cheers

Yeah you need to run a linux gateway box do, software and information is available from http://nocat.net/.

Seattle Wireless and NYC Wireless projects both use this app, it can display a click thru splash screen or ask a user to authenticate.

Apparently, NoCat can be made work on the Linksys WRT54GL, which sounds like a great solution.

Note that you will need the WRT54GL - other versions of the popular WRT54G might not be configurable for this task.

Also squid and some destionantion natting will do what you ask. I assume tou want a full ap solution and your no interested in squid and scripting yourself.

Have a look at [SIZE=-1]Sputnik and Chillspot
