Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have two computers which i wish to connect via wireless Network.

My home PC has Windows 2000 Pro with a USB Adapter 54g fitted and installed.

My Laptop Has Windows XP home with inbuilt wireless (HP Pavillion 6000 Series) try as I might they wont talk to one another, although they can each see the other wireless is in range.

I have installed shares on Drives and printers but nothing happens! Can anyone give me some guidance.

    Many Thanks

    :(

There are basically 2 modes for connecting with wireless. Infrastructure and ad-hoc.

Infrastructer is when you want to connect to a wireless access point, like a wifi hotspot or your wireless router.

Ad-hoc is when two devices want to connect to each other without an access point.

You need to configure your pc and laptop to be in ad-hoc wireless mode. Small google on ad-hoc wireless setup or have a flick through the wireless manual that should have came with your equipment should have all, if not most, of the details you need.
