i'm going to answer this in my own thread because i don't want to be filling up dal's aft thread with questions about my program

Hi Everyone

Getting the following error message for a few days:

"Server Unavailable, message sent using account Jarvis"
But the message isn't sent!!!
Any ideas???

I have been trying to use AFT and GPRSMS since yesterday and both are reporting server unavailable, please try later, or Meteor wesite down please try later.
the meteor website is infact working as I have just sent web text from it. Any ideas what the problem is. thanks

As far as I know meteor have changed the layout of their site so AFT server side stuff will require updating to reflect this - hense the reason the message fails to send.

Similar to Okgirl I'm on Meteor and having the same issues!!!
Can still use cabbage mobile but would prefer to have AFT.

Any ideas?

@malachy, yes the source code is available. I'm currently in jfk airport so i don't have access to the latest code but i'll package it up and make it available asap

i've finished the latest update but i haven't got around to uploading the code yet. I've found a problem on the sony ericsson c902 that it just doesn't seem to send but it works on other phones so i.ill upload the code tomorrow. I'm posting from the toilet in eamonn dorans at the moment (thank you meteor free data) but i'll do it at some point tomorrow

yes i will. I've been playing around with it for the last day or two just making it more efficient but i've got it working so i'll post the working code tomorrow.

i forgot i won't have access to the code for the mobile program until tomorrow and i'm far too hung over to finish fixing the server side code at the moment. I'll do it tomorrow

What is the current status on vodafone web texts? I get -5 messages left all the time.

Vodafone working fine there, yeah? But how do I use that page with AFT?

Sorry ignore it, I'm using cabbage. Not sure if you can change server in AFT.

Ok thanks for letting me know.. With Cabbage Mobile I get "Unexpeced response format" when sending with a Voda web text account.

both aft's and cabbage's server side scripts are working fine. the problem must be with your phone. are other programs that access the internet working?

or maybe it was a temporary problem?

Everything else working fine - can send with o2 and meteor accounts on both aft and cabbage. Just vodafone wont work. Have double checked the credentials. Might be a temp glitch?
