    Hi,

    I am considering getting 3 external wooden doors from this company - Roco
    Has anybody had any experience with them or know anything about the quality of their products. They are about €1500 cheaper than Carlson.

    We buy a lot of windows in Eastern Europe from companies who export to Scandinavia and Germany.
    I normally ask three questions;
    Are the windows/doors made from engineered wood?
    Are they pressure treated?
    Are they finger jointed at the corners?
    If they use Remmers paints then you have no problems because Rationel use the same.
    Ask them about guarantees if the windows warp due to the wood not being dry enough.

    Are the doors made from engineered wood ?you can have them made or
    engineered wood or solid timber.
    Are they pressure treated? Yes they are pressure treated.
    Are they finger jointed at the corners? No they are mortice & tennon
    Do you use remmers paints? No we use Akzo nobel paint

    That all looks good, I would choose the engineered wood.

    Hi,

    The price ranges from €3000 for 3 doors from 1 company for supply and fit to 4200 for just supply. There also varying lenghts in lead time for each.

    I have tried the following
    www.Rationel.com
    www.h-v.ie
    www.carlson.ie
    and Roco Scandinavian Windows


    as you have seen from the thread, they all differ a bit in what they offer.
