I didn't pick you up wrong - I wasn't saying there was a contradiction, just that it was a bit contrary. But I'll leave it there.= :D

I had a lecture today which involved a fake meeting and the entire class had to take minutes of said meeting. Then we were showed what real minutes were supposed to look like, and then we took minutes of the follow up meeting.

    No, really.

    Ouch...

Must be an early interview! Would they not put you up tonight - I always made the most of the 5 star hotels in London when I was interviewing! What's the job?

I'm convinced if I stand still outside longer than a minute, I'll literally freeze...

    I've started drinking coffee.

As in today was the day when I first managed to comsume more than a sip of a frappachino before delcaring it gross. Its like alcohol i suppose.

That depends entirely on which day you saw them; if it was a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, then no, if it was a Wednesday or Friday, then more than likely. Although "prancer" might be a tad much; I'm far too ungainly to prance.

Ah pooh... Just got this email:
    Dear Resident,

It has just come to the Accommodation Office's attention that the swipe
mechanism of the pedestrian access gate on Westland Row (opposite Goldsmith
Hall) has been vandalised beyond repair.

As a result, please be informed that access to College through that gate will
not be possible until the swipe mechanism has been replaced. In the meantime
Goldsmith Hall residents are advised to use Lincoln Gate.
I have to walk round all the way to lincoln gate?

This really bothers me. Which is strange because for 4 years I had a 10 minute walk to the bus stop, up to an hour bus journey and then another 10 minute walk to college... every day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,196 ✭✭✭✭Crash

yeah, college makes you trés lazy.

Surely this applies during only 'goldsmith swipe card' times? i.e. that swipey yokie is broken, do you be going in studying at 2am often?

I should be in a lab right now, but I'm too apathetic to walk outside. It's too god damn sunny!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,626 ✭✭✭Stargal

    It's....so....damn...cold....

Beautiful snow this morning, too bad it melted. If it kept snowing like it was it would have been fairly deep. Maybe tomorrow...

I hate this 250 word "research proposal" crap.
"I REALLY WANT TO DO THIS RESEARCH COS ITS COOL NOW GIMME A PHD ALREADY KTHX"
    that'd show em :D

    I need another 130 words.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,314 ✭✭✭Nietzschean

never mind research proposal, the personal statement is the cak part

  • Registered Users Posts: 81,310 CMod ✭✭✭✭coffee_cake

I scrapped it, decided to start again.
    I don't have to do a personal statement :D
I think this is kinda supposed to be part of it...
I'm not sure what's actually supposed to go into the research proposal, apparently it's really a formality to show that I'm not just avoiding real life...
