FFS. Boards turning into a little game for DeV.

Though just reading through the feedback thread (slowly, still only a quarter of the way through), I see mention of big threads with 140K, 100K and 60K posts...so at a shade under 8,000/a shade over 5,500, the two "big" ones here might slip through the net. Hopefully anyway.

I remember a while back they deleted all the big threads off boards ( for a short period) as a stop gap measure. This one Remained open however. Shrug, I've no idea if it will be culled in the first wave, but now we know that at some point it definitely will be.

Just a little reminder form last summer, didn't we all agree that we should get rid of the big threads in order to make the forum more welcoming for new users?

Donal had an ideas and suggestions thread.

Maybe we should create a more hostil environment for new users in order to weed out the muppets.

can you buy from new egg ? Also new egg doesn't include tax which you'd be liable here.

    What was wrong with Ankermann?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,699 ✭✭✭Brian

Ankermann don't sell the processor I want. Newegg don't ship internationally. My dad's going to the USA in November, and to be honest I have nowhere near the money right now so I might get him to pick up some bits for me over there. For example, the GPU in the US costs less in USD there than it does in Euro here, even before the exchange rate.
