There may still be a number of posters who are not aware that for the movement all long threads have been switched off in the ongoing search to discover what is slowing down the site.
Effected threads include the creation thread in Christianity, and threads in the Thunder-dome and Trinity. These treads have not disappeared and hopefully will be opened when the technical issues have been sorted out.
    Will keep you informed.

Discovering something? My foot, they are. They're suppressing debate, I tell you!!

That is far to rational an explination Asiaprod for something that modern science has refused to even look into .. you expect us to believe that a mod just happened to turn of this thread because they were looking for some problem, with Boards.ie? As if these things can just happen.

Obviously the mod was effected by God, God has clearly decided to close this thread down.

Except you will never hear about this in the science class room, the scientific community has never once published a paper on the mods of Boards.ie, not once. Hard to believe i know, but true. The are clearly suppressing the relationship between God and the Boards.ie mods, attempting to push their atheist anti-Boards.ie anti-Jesus agenda.

Its in the Bible Asiaprod, look it up!

you can get a cashed copy from google up as far as page 146, unfortunately I was away for a few days and was just starting to catch up on my reading.

    > all long threads

...and I think you'll find that with my rubber-band-powered, Christ-centered Creationist Dating Technique, that the thread was only created last week and not last year and couldn't therefore be long at all, at all.

The pack is restless. Back, the valiant Mod roars, drawing his whip.

Ok Ok, I give in. I told a lie, you asked for proof of the almighty, and he showed ye.

Actually, I believe that the backbone of the thread, both wore out the 2 shift keys on their keyboards, and we are on hold while they await delivery of two spanking new "Genesi MkII keyboards." Delux versions no less, with 20 shift keys and Auto-bold text. Supposed to have been ready 7 days ago, but you know how these things go.

Its a conspiricy I tell you!
Robindch just started a thread (after Asiaprod's advice) over in christianity to continue the creationist debate to be merged with the old thread when it returns. But it has has now disappeared! If thats not supression of the truth I don't know what it.

    I feel violated!

Actually, I think it was caused by boards going down during the afternoon and losing a bunch of posts -- if it's not turned up by later on this evening, I'll post it again and we'll wait to see if the fundamentalist demons running boards.ie will attempt to suppress the Truth (note the capital 'T') again.

Their mortal souls are on the line, and the world is watching... :)

I think you'll find thats an ASSUMPTION!
Clearly the internet as an intelligently designed system has lost this information as it is the will of the Designer.  :D:D   etc...

The question is, I suppose, whether the idea of the return of the Creationism thread is to be taken literally, or metaphorically?

    Indeed did it even exist?

Well, scientifically of course we cannot prove it existed, or at least not the way we think it did, since all we have is a fossil record in the form of Google caches (from which some pages are missing - the all-important "transitional pages"), and we are unable to repeat it.

No-one has claimed to be the author (or "designer" if your prefer) of the thread, and it is implausible that such a long thread could possibly have come about by chance. Since God clearly did not do it, as its very premise is secular and God-hating, this leaves the thread unlikely to have ever existed.

In addition, since it was an attempt to bring some order into the chaos of Creationist claims, it is obviously in contravention of the second law of thermodynamics (hmm, actually, if you use the version of the second law that is phrased "a closed system is capable of less and less work over time", you have an apt description of JC's mind).

On the other hand, we have it on authority (Asiaprod) that it did (and still does) exist - but is he inerrant? Is he, in a Catholic sense, speaking ex cathedra?

Well, we shall have to wait and see. Many shall be swept up in the Rapture that accompanies its return, is my prediction.

    eschatologically,
    Scofflaw

    Interesting...
I found this in the, um, fossil record regarding the one you refer to as "J C", the prophet of creationism. There is a high correlation between Him and the Holy Thread in the fossil record. By your logic can one conclude that J C too doesn't exist?

Oh ye of little faith. The thread is indeed intact. The boards did go down yesterday, not the hand of God I might add, probably a srewdriver stuck in the wrong socket.
As to speaking ex cathedra, I'll have you know I have never been in a cathederal in my life, no less sat in a Bishops chair, and as long as the Atheist lets me hold the lightning rod I am indeed inerrant?

Ladies, Gentlemen, and those of you who are still deciding.

An inerrant ex cathedra announcment follows.
To the keybords friends, thanks to Robindch we are back in business and it is once again open day on the Creationist thread. Thank you all for your patience (can't believe nobody thought to restart the thread...even me)
