31-08-2006 2:30pm#1Just reading about this new proposed development on the grounds of the Waterford Crystal Sports grounds, to be named "The Crystal Village". It sounds very interesting, especially the part about the eight screen cinema.
There's also a conference centre, a hotel, retail centre and medical centre. It's only in the proposal stage and the developer said something rather pertinent about the planning process. How it only takes one objecter to throw a spanner in the works...remind ye of anyone? :rolleyes:
The Ballbeg Action Group are meeting tonight to give their take on it, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes and what the city council has to say aswell, it's being put before them next week.
They claim that if it went ahead it could create a 1000 jobs. It'd be great but we'll just have to see what various parties have to say/object to about it. 0
