I know a taxi driver who had one (until it broke) he said it drank petrol on the motorway (3 speed + overdrive box?) I'd be guessing late 20's on average.

Saw a cheap one. That's crap though. My friends dad has an S350 and gets about 700km on a full tank. Mainly motorway though

bear in mind the fuel tank in an S Class is 90 litres on the Sonatas 70litres.
