Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think Ireland will concede 3 goals tomorrow. Also I cannot see us breaking down the Germans defence, so Keane and co. will be drawing a blank.

I really don't know how to call this one. We really haven't seen a proper litmus test for Staunton's Irish team as yet so I think it would be unfair to write them off just yet. That said, I'm the least optimistic (I say that as opposed to pessimistic if you don't mind) I've been in many a year about the National team. A draw would be a super result for the lads. If they have the grit, determination and passion of teams gone by then I still think we could give any team a decent game. The Jury is out on that one too though...

went for 1 and im praying for a 1-2 win, a goal for keane and a goal for doyle, each setting up the other. This really is the ideal defence ireland could have hoped to be playing against and the germans will be under pressure to attack to continue with the style of football the country loved during the WC and since they're at home, leaving an already very suspect defence even less protected.

Of course if we were to face them after the sweden game then I woulld say 1-1 was a posibility. However, there have been two inept team preformances and some pretty ham-fisted tactical decisions since then, and, judging those latter games, I have to say 2-0 Germany.

My head says two but the cliché says we like being the underdog, and that often comes true.
