Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Are there are alternatives/similiar software pakages to Frontpage? Can't find anything on Mozilla since they do a good broweser and email client.

    Thank's in advance.

    An "alternative to FrontPage" = WYSIWYG-type applications, most likely.

    Oh yeah Dreamweaver of course is nicer, I didn't suggest it because he mentioned mozilla, assumed the OP wanted something opensource.
    Still though... html isn't hard to learn... you'll eventually want to abandon wysiwyg editors once you get sick and tired of odd html problems the editor won't cooperate with.
    Notepad++ ftw

    Yeh, I could use notepad but alot to learn. I just want something to do a basic webpage for the default eircom webhost that is available. I could buy Frontpage from eBay but I don't think I'd get the use out of it.
    I've done some sample pages on Frontpage ( P.C. in the last job had it installed).
    Any goos sites from which to learn html?

    Slightly off topic, but www.openoffice.org writer will edit saved html files in a similar manner to microsoft word. But the html code it produces is MUCH cleaner.

    OP: Dreamweaver does have a trial version, you can see if it suits what you want. I do have a copy of Frontpage 2000 AE, but I dont know if I am legally allowed to sell it as its an Academic Edition.

    I thought I couldn't live without a preview pane, but then I found Notepad++
    It's a genius.

    The only thing I miss is code completion, but with the internet open in the next window, who needs code completion?
