    Looks like someone got a rather unpleasant weekend of it over a paperwork snafu:
    Man found with firearm at Dublin Airport

    A man has been arrested at Dublin Airport after he was found to have a firearm.
    The incident happened around midday today.
    The man was passing through security screening when a suspicious object was detected in his hand luggage. On further examination it was found to be a handgun.
    He was arrested and taken to Santry Garda Station where he is being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

    A man arrested after a gun was found in his hand luggage at Dublin airport yesterday has been released from garda custody.
    The man was passing through security screening at midday yesterday when the weapon, believed to have been a deactivated gun, was found.
    A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

    WTF was he doing carrying a Deact. In his HAND luggage?
    Some people have no sense, well I guess he will feel the wrath.

    He denied all knowledge of the gun according to the media this morning.

    Speculation was that a 'friend' had put the gun in his luggage as a prank !

    With friends like that, etc....
