Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As in a previous thread I found the Stan/Father Dougal lookalike reference hillarious so any Father Dougal quotes applicable to Stan out there. As he will be sitting in the stand for the next two games here's one: Bobby Robson (with Subbuteo player in hand): No Dougalstan these are small and the others are very far away.

And we say the English are great for knocking their own down. This would be a thread for the humour forum, if it were funny.

no the irish team is something for the humour forum cos its a joke!

really hard to say so, but its true - never before have I sat about to watch an Irish team and thought we haven't a fcukin prayer, please let it not be a spanking! And it would have been only for the fact that our only world class player is Given

Well we've just as many real quality player as the Czechs. Its down the manager that people have no confidence in the team atm (our biggest scoring drought in 10 years). I always back a manager but I just can't bring myself to backing Stan. In saying that, I won't be slating him either.

Father Robson: Did you bring the training balls Stan?
Father Stan: I brought the training balls and the match balls, Bobby. The training balls for when we were training, and the match balls for matches!
    Father Robson: Good man!
Father Stan: Ah, no, wait a minute... now that I think of it I didn't bring either of them! God , I'm an awful eejit!

Maybe, but I'd take Rosicky, Cech and Koller over Duff, Given and Keane anyday. Plus the rest of their players are definetly better than the rest of our players.

I certainly wouldn't. Rosicky has a lot to prove, Koller is a very one dimensional striker, and Given is a legend.
