    His was only the third recorded death by stingrays... Which makes this tragedy all the more senseless.

    They are normally so docile and harmless, he must have pissed one off by standing on it or somthing.
    It wouldnt have done that unless it felt really threatened or surrounded.
    Pity, he was a good guy.
