Just looking for some opinions. Thinking about buying an A6 TDI sport in the UK or buying a new or Demo VW Passat TDI. Any opinions

Which model A6 are you looking at? The old 1998 - 2004 A6 is actually a bit smaller in size to the new Passat. Especially in the rear. The 2004 onwards A6 is a much bigger more expensive car so it is hard to compare the two.

Also what TDi engine are looking at? 1.9 or 2.0 TDi?

The new A6 is not available with the 1.9 TDi, the current Passat has both. The 2.0 TDi is newer and has 140bhp or 170bhp. It is supposed to be very good especially with the DSG auto box.

If it is the old A6 versus the new Passat then I would take the new Passat. If your looking at the current A6 then it is a no brainer imo. Go with the A6.

The New Passat is fairly good value from UK also.Go for the SE 2.0tdi model if possible.Try www.allapprovedcars.com. There are a few on this site.
