Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dell Axim X51v Woes

I got a new Axim X51v last week. It is a nicer machine than the X50 but it has a couple of issues that are really bugging me. I am hoping that someone will be able to steer me in the right direction.

    1. Last night I tried to connect my bluetooth headset so I could chat to my buddies in the US. It pairs fine, but is unable to identify it as b/tooth telephone headset. According to a site I came across today, this is a known issue with Win Mobile 5 but I could not find a solution. Has anyone come across this and did you find a solution?

    2. I installed an SD Card for my GPS s/ware. GPS works fine - no problem there. But where the problem lies is again with Win Mobile 5. It finds and re-finds the SD card and asks if I want to do a search for music and video files.

Apart from throwing the thing in Liffey, can anyone offer any advice please. I checked the MS site and they are saying that any O/S issues will be addressed by the PDA producer. But Dell support are checking it for me but the guy sounded very very vague.

    All advice greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

I did a bit more digging around today and found some additional information that may be useful for anyone looking at a Windows Mobile 5 device.

    1. This is flaw with WM5 that has yet to be rectified by MS. You cannot use a bluetooth h/set with the current release of WM5.

    2. This is regarded as a "feature" in WM5 & Windows Media 10 - a very irritating feature in my opinion.

But I guess all new OS come with their teething issues.
