Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Web wont work on Laptop

    My friend has a laptop at home, he has Dial up connection, it works on the home PC but not his laptop. It was working but just stopped,

    I took the Laptop into work and hooked it up to the wireless connection and the same thing happens. (No connection)

    I think there might be a virus on this system stopping it from working.

    Does anyone have any tips for stuff to check, Or any programs i can download, Burn to CD and run on his PC.

    I was thinking Spybot Serach and destory and maybe Hi-jack this.

    If anyone has any pointers please let me know

    just to add the computer is running very slow as well.

    Is the modem installed and functioning correctly (no yellow exclamation marks)? Check Device Manager in the System applet in Control Panel and also in Phone and Modem Options to see if you can get a response.

    Souds like a virus or some spyware on the laptop,

    download spybot and avg update both and do a full scan of system,

    see does that find anything for you
