I'm not able to choose electives as I'm final year, but I'd love to have continued my Ancient Greek studies and maybe some Russian too.

3rd CS elective choices suck. Basically for me it's either do language courses or do the maths physics courses I *pretty much* failed 2 years ago. Bah humbug.

And Japanese level 2 is full up in both semesters. *cry*

I did it for first semester and enjoyed it, though it is quite a difficult course and you probably shouldn't take it on idly if you want to get good marks. I think i low C'd despite all the frightened and panicked effort i put in..

Damn history prevents me from doing any film this year too (same with 2nd semester last year). So i'm going with French & Physics to complement my English & History. Largely because i don't know what else to do... Up to what point can i change my mind? :(

    edit:LANG10200 5 Japanese L & C (Stage 2) Small Group SEC PROGRAM PLACES FULL

thats what came up when i tried to register for japanese level2 wtf? anyone?

    There's a Japanese module!?and i's full, tsk.
Where abouts is it because i didn't see it while i was looking.....

I just went on to see how many people have oversubscribed to one of my electives and it won't say how many are anymore. It also stated that all electives were provisional but this has also disappeared. Do this mean I've got the elective? Both my electives have appeared on blackboard and there is nothing to say that my elective choices are provisional at this stage. Both these electives had pre-requisites from last year which i've done so maybe i have a place instead of this random selection lark? I'm a 2nd year also.

    E-business (build a wesbite, easy peasy :p )

If i enjoy japenese i might take stage 2 if its not full and drop e-business. Will see after christmas tho the easy marks for e-business will be hard to loose.

I didn't do it but I did sneak into a few classes. You just watch movies every week and then in class discuss them

I wanna do Chinese (ab initio) in the first semester and Chinese (level 2) in the second semester purely cos the fact that I was over there this summer and became really interested in the language and culture.
Gonna do Tai Chi too just for the craic
