    from bbc
Ed Joyce replaced Marcus Trescothick, who was left out for the first time in his career following his decision to miss the forthcoming Champions Trophy.

Interesting reaction to Tres' decision. I guess the ECBs patience has been tested once too often.

Oh dear, does'nt look very clever to be the one with the low figure on a winning side (if thats how it turns out).

Scores of 10, 13 and 8 could mean that Ed might have already missed the boat for a prolonged ODI career with England. He'll be lucky to be named in the ICC Champions Trophy squad after a run like that. Bad misjudgement to a straight ball today.

Will be a great irony if Joyce misses out on the World Cup with England. Huge loss for Ireland to have him sat at home.

This is what irks me about Joyce. He's a better player of the longer form, (ave. 47 in first class, 36 in List A one dayers and 12 in Twenty20 and now 10.33 in ODI's) yet when you see Alistair Cook in the test team and not in the ODI, I wish that Ed got that chance too. I mean, if he got into the test team before the ODI team, I think we would've seen Ed do much better.
