Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Liverpool starting 11

    Reina

    Finnan-Carra--Hyypia--Aurelio

    Gerrard-Alonso-Sissoko-Garcia

    Fowler Crouch

Dudek, Agger, Riise, Pennant, Kuyt on the bench, no Bellamy (proberly too hot a game for his temperament)

    Mike.

Liverpool dominating possession, but Everton with the lead.

Oh garcia with a great shot, back to SG and off the post.

    There's goals in this game.

Alonso fouled and goal conceeded. Everton 2 0 Liverpool Carra should be subbed (Hate to say it).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Poor defending, everton are living off scraps but are 2-0 up.

We usually only start playing when we're 2 or 3 down ;)

nice to get one back before half time.

some great players on the bench, but in reality most of the attackign players are playing well, and for a change we are vunerable at the back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,818 ✭✭✭Bateman

Surprised Bellamy didn't start. Why Fowler? Sentimentality I wonder...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

    Reina
    Finnan-Agger-Hyypia-Aurelio
    Sissoko
    Pennant---Gerrard----Garcia
    Fowler-Kuyt

    Mike.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,987 ✭✭✭✭zAbbo

Yup, Alonso and a striker need to change, i'd drop Fowler, and keep Crouch.

1 goal and Liverpool are back in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,147 ✭✭✭Ronan|Raven

Felt liverpool should have had a freeout for the second goal, alonso seemed to get dragged down. I cant see Everton loosing it from here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

    thank ****, Dirk Kuyt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

alonso needs to be taken off, pennant on, shove gerrard into the center

    *edit* close from finnan there

Risse on! Folwer off, Riise to LB Aurelio down the left side?. Garcia to Centre half?

Hyypia was just as bad there IMO, Carragher was covering (badly!)

His vision doesnt seem up to much. His first attack when he had the ball out on the left, fowler made a good run to come around his marker and get in front of him, but kuyt layed the ball out to alonso for a shot at an odd angle.

It's not going to happen, it's one of those days with plenty of chances but they all go just by the outside of the post.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Sissoko off Pennant on, Gerrard to the front-centre I presume!

Riise injured his already dodgy ankle.

He looked in a lot of pain, yeah. Lost the ball, went to win it back with a challenge and got booked and injured in the same breath.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,247 ✭✭✭✭Guy:Incognito

You always know when certain things happen that your just not going to get anything out of a match. A possible peno in the first half (peter reid said it was one) then hitting the inside and outside of the post, having numerous shots drifting just wide of the post, not getting a stone wall peno, thgen having a player stretchered of 30 secs after making your 3rd sub.

Yeah he was wriggling around a lot, you could see straight away he was going off.

Maybe, but I'm beginning to thing this squad rotation thing is a load of cat! He should be playing his stongest every fookin game. You don't see Fergi, Maureen or Arse having one eye on the Champions League! I think he's trying to be too clever and it's beginning to backfire.......
