Broadband utv v eircom

    Hi can anybody advise me as to how to resolve an issue, where my phone line has been out for 10 days now due to a lightning storm.I have my phone line rental and broadband with utv who in turn rent the line from eircom.Despite phone calls and email to utv the can not get a positive reaction from eircom.Will I have to return to eircom to get my phone restored and look at there broadband offerings. Am I been held to ransom.:(
