Good localish Telescope supplier?

    I have had my eye on the Meade ETX125PE as i would like to replace my current portable; the Meade ETX70AT and so far the best supplier/price i found is a US source: Telescopes.com

    Meade ETX-125PE Astro Telescope Premier Edition - UHTC Coatings - $1194.00 / €941

    Meade ETX-125PE Astro Telescope Premier Edition - Standard Coatings - $1099.00 / €866

    Shipping is an additional $120 / €94 or so, but even still an excellent price. the UHTC coating would be more of a personal preference.

    Does anyone know of any place localish that is even remotely competitive (even UK), or if not has anyone ordered from telescopes.com who would have experience in exporting/importing. I've been out of the telescope buying scene for quiet a while so any supplier suggestions are welcome.

    p.s i have never ordered anything outside of Europe but i have my reservations about shipping such a sensitive piece of equipment from the states to ireland, im not sure why, maybe my reservations are somewhat unfounded :confused:

    Yep, those aforementioned are the best 2 dealers in Ireland. MIght need some more patience with Andromeda Optics, but they are a solid Meade dealer in Dublin.
