Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Okay here's the thing. If I have a PAL DV deck and an NTSC DV deck can I just hook them up via firewire and record away, transferring a PAL tape to NTSC.

Does the signal coming into the NTSC deck have to be NTSC for it to record properly?

Yes and no, it depends on the deck. If it accepts both formats then you are golden, it will do the conversion. If not, then you are stuck and will have to import it onto a PC perhaps and convert it there.

Checkout the specs for your deck on google if you are not sure if it supports a given format.
