( I posted this on Usenet and was referred to these boards )

Hi, I'm currently a third year student at a Big 10 school here in the
USA; I've been offered a trip to the Dublin Institute of Technology for
one semester - tuition/books/airfare/living are all covered through my
university tech department. I come to you in hopes of gaining a
different perspective on the culture/lifestyle over in Ireland,
specifically around the DIT campus at which I will reside for 6 months.

What area do you recommend living in? Are the students and faculty
friendly? Is the campus body outgoing (do they party?).

I already know the benefits of experiencing another culture, but what
I'm really after from you are your personal perspecitives of the
campus, and ANY other advice you can throw at me. Thanks!!
