Then how do you connect your mp3 player into it? It says below in the spec that it has an aux in and im fairly sure its the same one.

'What a superb combination - this advanced, in-car solution is not only a crystal clear, feature-packed CD/MP3 player, but also Bluetooth-enabled so you can make hands-free mobile phone calls.

    * Aux. input for MP3/iPod connection

If that doesnt work, how about the usb connection on the front? CAn you run a 20gig player through that? The reason i ask and havent tried is cos it has one of those tiny usb connections on it and i dont have a tiny usb connection USB cable :p

Does it have a headphone jack type socket on the front? if so, thats it.

No it doesnt have it on the face of the headunit, might be in behind the face though, where the disks go in. Will check 2mrw. Thanks for the help and suggestions

Sounds like you have the older tevion. It doesn't have bluetooth or an aux in.

Is it the one shown in the attachment? If so you won't be able to use a 20gig mp3 player with it.

Yep thats it alrite. Feck that anyway. WIll just make myself some mp3 CDs so! The 20gigs of music on my iaudio x5l will probly hardly ever be touched now!

You could buy an FM transmitter and just tune it in to the radio.

Are these any use? Whats the quality usually like?

Quality is ok, but you can get interference and the one I had had a very limited frequency range, so if I played something with a lot of bass it sounded dreadfull.

I installed mine this evening, works perfectly, bluetooth connection is superb. The only issue I have is that the aerial connector is different on my car, 98 opel vectra B but all that needs is a connector cable, should only be a few euros at a decent motor factors.

Overall Im well impressed by the system, even if it is a bit tacky looking. function over form.

Now all I have to do is connect up my ipod, presuming thats what the aux port on the front of the head unit is for. whats the name of the cable I need and how much should I be paying for it?

I bought the Medion bluetooth car stereo as posted initially.
I have lost the instruction booklet and the bluetooth is not working any more.
Can someone please help with any of the following?

Does anybody know the model number or serial number so that I can download the instructions?
I can't see a number on the stereo anywhere and cannot seem to find a mention of it on the Medion website.

How do you pair the a phone with the stereo?

    Thanks for any help,
    Jim

To pair the phone hold the 'pair' buttion for a few seconds until its starts falshing (or maybe you have to release the button for it to staret flashing). Then search for devices on your phone and it should pop up.

Also, I think the bluetooth access code that you need to key in on the phone is '0000'.

I installed one of these recently, grand piece of kit, bluetooth is very handy. Slight hiss through the speakers but not noticeable if the volume is up a bit.

I have a spare one of the Tevion USB/Memory Card ones lying about the place. It's the black and Silver one. Will sell it for face value if anyone wants it (€80 if I recall). I used it for about 3 weeks on my boat, then took i tout at the end of season. Not much use for it as i'm putting a DVD and surround system into the boat for next season, but don't make me silly offer's as i'd rather keep it as a spare than take stupid money for it. Face value secures. I'm in Galway but will post nationwide

Does anyone know which is the "pair" button? I got my brothers head unit and want to connect it to my bluetooth phone. I don't have the manual though. Does it have to be set to the radio, or aux or anything or does it matter?

I'm not sure if it applies to the exact model in this thread, but on my one, you have to take off the front of the radio to get at the pair button.

oh really? hmm, I'll have a gander, thanks:)

hehe, ok, I wasn't allowed to post the above as it said I had to wait 30 seconds between posts, so in the mean time I went out and hey presto, it was beneath the front panel (which I take off every time I leave the van so it's down to me being not very observant:)).

    Thanks!!

Been using the bluetooth on this for a while now and I'm not sure if it's my phone (A Sony Ericson K610im) or the headunit, but for some reason, they wont stay connected to eachother. Most of the time when somebody rings it wont come through the head unit and if I ever press the button to connect the phone, afte a few seconds it will say "car audio connected" (on the phone) and it will be fine if somebody rings, but then after a few minutes it says "car audio disconnected" and wont go through the radio anymore.

It's pretty annoying, even if it means eating up more battery on the phone, is there any way to make it permanently connected to the head unit does anyone know?

Best thing to do is to experiment with another phone. If it fails with that too call their support line to see if they have any suggestions.
