just hearing on newstalk the taxi unions heads have lost control of their members and 200 taxis have blocked oconnel street. apparently theyer marching up and down in now demanding ministerial intervention.when the union official came out he was booed back into a hotel and when asked about the prospect of clampers the drivers said "bring em on"

is this a taste of things to come? seeing as the regulators are a fig leaf to cover the governments policy in various sectors can we expect more chaos to come. its a fair bet now the ryder cup is gonna be hit so will the gov have to interveen. and if so where does this leave mr deering?

You can't run a state by appeasing rabid nutters in taxis.

I want to know how a group of businessmen gathered together to keep fares high and resist regulation of their industry can be called a "labour union".

    Riot Gardai + Clampers.

Beat the ****e of anyone who starts trouble, and arrest anyone who attempts to interfere with the clampers.

    Easy.
