Hi lads, long time since I've been on here! Ha.

I'm emigrating in 3 weeks, but I've got a load of supps I don't wanna throw out, so I wanna bring em with me. Nothing mental, just a load of PWO's (Dorian Yates' one) and some Glutamine caps and the like.

Anyone had any problems getting through customs with them before? Considering their sachets of powder and capsules, might look dodge? Going to be in Thailand for a week, then Oz for a week then off to NZ. I know the Ozzie and Kiwi customs can be tough, so anyone had any experience with this?

You are mad, the Australian and New Zealand customs are nothing compared to Thailand!!! Are your PWO supps that important, you can get them when your over there! I wouldn't risk bringing anything in or out of Thailand that was in powder form and could be mistaken for something else! Locked up and key thrown away without so much as a phone call or a trial!

+1, you don't mess around with customs in any of those countries. Get them over there, they'll probably be cheaper anyway!!

Sound! I'll offload them onto the Missus's brother so! He just joined a gym so he'll probably love them! Cheers lads!

I see myprotein have a new vitamin site
    http://www.myvitamins.com

Range is fairly limited at the moment but hopefully it might make a cheaper alternative to some of the iherb regulars.

    Usual discount/referral code etc: MV15327730

? Doesn't seem like that much of a deal.

I get Dymatize creatine mono 1kg for €35

I mean the stuff is great. I've used Dymatize creo and didn't get much off it. On this stuff I'm gaining weight and my strength is really going up. Obviously a better standard creo.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes myprotein to get their peanut butter back in stock once they run out?

Been waiting what feels like two weeks (probably not quite 2 weeks) to order some. I'm having to buy kelkin and its burning a hole in my pocket and its not even 100% peanuts.

It's back in stock 22nd. Lots of people asking on their facebook. Could try bulkpowders.co.uk as they sell it too

They're both 100% Creatine Monohydrate. Unfortunately lads in this case you're both paying huge prices for a product that can be bought at 13 euro a kilo. It will do the same job, when it comes to CM there's no such thing as quality in essence, just purity. All 3 brands mentioned are of the same purity pretty much, the big difference is the price that accompanies the label.

Contacted them yesterday to see what the story is.

They said that they will be offering an international option in the near future but for the moment it is UK only.

    Hey Guys,

So I noticed in the first page it talks about taking something like CellMass post workout. But what if I already take protein PWO. Do I take one after the other?

I'm just concerned I'm pushing to much stuff into my body for instance here's what I take already:

BSN Nitrix (3 Times a day) -- Got a free tub so I figured I may as well try it....same for the NO-Xplode below :-)
    Fish Oil
    Multi-Vit
    BSN NO-Xplode
    BCAA's PWO
    Protein

So would adding CellMass be over kill? And / Or is what I'm taking over kill too?

I caved and bought 1 kilo of MP impact whey rhubarb & custard limited edition. It's delicious and tastes like a Rhubarb & Crumble yoghurt

Hey I'm currently taking ON !00% Gold Standard Whey...just wondering what would people think of stacking it with the ON 1000 BCAA caps?

Cellmass and protein would have different effects so taking them together or apart doesn't really matter. For convenience take them after a workout, though Cell Mass can be taken before bed too (as directed by BSN, not me). Personally I thought Cellmass was a bit gimicky for what it contains and I'd prefer to take the contents separately.

I am completely off creatine (bar the 2-3g or whatever is in Musclepharm Assault) and I don't really see my using it again.

Are you cutting or bulking? BCAA's aren't worth the cost while on a bulk. While bulking your BCAA intake should be sufficiently satisfied by your protein intake.

Not really cutting or bulking (though Ive droped from 107kg to about 98kg (I'm 25 and about 5' 11'') in last month. Basically I've an 8 day training cycle (getting ready for rugby season) which I repeat. Seldomly taking a rest day...rest day for me is a 5miler with no wieghts (I feel very guilty if I don't do something active daily)

Day 1: Heavy Legs. Day 2: Heavy Chest. Day 3: Heavy Back. Day 4. 5mile run + lots of core work. Then Days 5-8 are the same as Days 1-4 but which reduced weight (unless I can't resist the urge to go heavy as sometimes happens). I also do core work every day but Days 4 and 8 are much longer core days and run 4.5km most nights before bed (mainly to help me sleep!).

My diet at the minute is the same everyday (I don't mind that, for me foods more about function than anything)

Breakfast: Decent Sized bowl of Porridge + 1scoop of ON 100% GS Whey

Lunch: Salad. Lots of chicken(all my chicken comes from a butcher rather than the tesco/dunnes/etc **** (imo)) egg, onion, lettuce, little bit of coleslaw.

Post-Gym shake 1.25-1.5 scoops of ON 100% GS Whey.

Dinner: 2 Chicken fillets, celery, tomato, cucumber, onion and 62.5g brown rice(every other day as of late).

Pre-Bed/Post run: 1scoop of ON 100% GS Whey.

Occasional Snack: Tuna with Brown Rice (if feeling low on energy) or Biltong.

So sticking to this rigorously over the last 1.5 to 2 months, seeing lots of good results wrt weight/definition but just wondering if adding something else to the diet (in terms of a supplement) could be beneficial.

Diet looks good if you are cutting. If you're trying to put on muscle and general size I would definitely consume more carbs. As for the BCAA's, I wouldn't bother with them if you're getting sufficient protein in your diet.

    See bold.

ordered 9different flavours from myprotein! decided id try a load and see which one i like.

been educated about how much a waste of money my promax was!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,480 ✭✭✭Chancer3001

also, my promax right now gives 5g creatine a day along with the protein.

im moving to just protein now.

what are yer thoughts on buying creatine separetly.

my aim now is to cut/get definition, but im also continuing to lift heavy as I can in the gym

Creatine is extremely cheap. You can pick up a 1kg bag for 15 euro from my protein. Take 5g a day, so 200 days on one bag, no need to load or anything. Creatine is a great building block for muscle growth.

    I'd definitely recommend it!

yeah thats what i thought tbh.

only drawback would be creatine generally keeps 3-4kg of water weight i think?

would it help the aesthetics if i lost this water weight?

Im guessing the benefits of taking creatine outweight the little difference to aesthetics that stopping creatine may give.

When I supplement creatine (I've tried various brands and blends) if I drink water/liquid a while after I need to piss to badly that I actually end up running to the nearest toilet. The problem is it happens to suddenly. One minute I don't need to piss, a minute later it's like I've been holding it in for half an hour. When I don't take creatine this never happens.

Ahhh! Yeah I'd probably knock that on the head if it happened to me too :)

    Cheers for your info mate!

I doubt it will be that much. Just to know muscle is around 75% water in the first place so studies now are showing this weight gain is mainly increased muscle mass.

By getting definition do you mean mainly your abs? If so your diet is much more important than any supplement.

Depending on your weight, the 3g you get from Musclepharm may be enough to continue muscle saturation. How much creatine were you taking when you were supplementing it?
