Can't access blackboard or UCD mail

    Tried using firefox and IE. Tried with virus scanner disabled. When I click on blackboard or ucd email, it opens in a new window and gives the "page cannot be displayed" error message. Would anti-spyware apps. or pop-up preventers cause this? Spec as per sig.

    Well use http://elearning.ucd.ie to get to blackboard. Am not computer nerdy enough for the mail thing though

    Nice one, cheers. Anyone know if it's easy to set up UCD connect to be checked by outlook express?

    It is. Instructions here.

    Just note that you should use "studentmail.ucd.ie" in place of "imap.ucd.ie". And you might have to use your ISP's smtp server if you're trying to send mail while not on campus.

    ^^ yes you will have to use your ISP's mail server. Check out their website to see what it is.

    Mail server you need for Outlook, Pegasus, Thunderbird is: studentmail.ucd.ie
    Set the protocol to IMAP, and away you go.
