If there was such thing, it would be Twinkle, she got 7As, 4Bs.

Meh, I'm happy with how I did, that's what matters to me(and that I beat everyone else in the family ; ) ).

CSPE - B(this is a massive shocker for me, I'm not boasting or anything now but I know an awful lot about politics and often I had to correct the teacher on mistakes she made during class, the fact that I got a B in this subject shows what a joke CSPE is! The report messed me up. Definitely going to appeal!)
You're gonna appeal CSPE? Strikes me as a waste of time, effort and money, since it's a subject that you yourself said is a joke and that is only available to JC level. Can;t see why that 1 grade would bother you so much.

On the subject of appeals, I got 2 of my JC papers rechecked.... Geography and Business, I think. The important thing is, by the time the rechecks came back my reaction to being told they were back was "oh. okay. can i get back to my maths homework now?"

Although in all likelihood your JC results will sit on your CV till you have a degree, so if you truly think you did better, goferit. I warn you though, you really won't care by the time you get them back.

I want to appeal CSPE just for myself, just to see if I could get an A because I know I deserve it. I know its not an important subject but I want to do well just for myself, no on else. Jeebus summedit up really well actually.

    English-A
    Irish-A
    Maths-A
    Science(new course)-A
    German-A
    Geography-A
    Art-A
    Music-A
    and my 2 B's were History and C.S.P.E. I'm so chuffed!:D :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,370 ✭✭✭Timans

    Yeah,

People seem to think when people say "I'm going to Appeal" it's because they want it to look better or something.

I(and Ciaran) would only appeal to please ourselves. Like, If I ever appealed it would be as a peace of mind type of thing. To let myself know that I did better and as well as I felt i originally did.

Not, to look better on a CV or to be able to show it off. It's for yourself.

    *nods*

Heh, that's exactly why I'm appealing my LC Physics and English. Good luck with them!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,479 ✭✭✭✭philologos

well in the Leaving Cert it would be crucial to appeal if you didn't get the points you wanted

Irish B (damn B, taintin' my As *shakes fist* I did my comhra about Yoda! YODA!)
English A (really wanted an A in this so I worked hard for it)
Maths A (I'm very happy about this, it's not what I expected and Math's isn't my strongest area soo it shows that hard work pays off)
History A (One of my favouritest subjects so I would have been dissappointed with anything less than an A)
Geography A (I...did nothnig for this. Well I did my homework)
Religion A (I didn't do the 70 mark essay at the end of the paper so my A is a mystery to me)
    CSPE A (yeah CSPE...)
French A (I heart French so much, was fairly sure I did well)
German A (I fecked up the note so I didnt think I'd get an A, but whaddaya know)
    Science A
Music A (this is the one my parents are really proud of because I got up for music class at 7:30am every Saturday morning for all of third year)

I'm happy with my results :)

    Woo I'm so happy!
    All higher level:

    English - A
    History - A
    CSPE - A
    Religion - A
    Geography - B
    Science - B
    Irish - B
    French - B
    Business - B
    Maths - C
    Tech Graph - C

I'm so suprised at Religion and Business as I thought I did really bad but I would've really liked an A in Geography.

    And congrats to everyone.

Don't get disappointed over it, out of the 100+ students in my year, not one single peson got an A in Geography. I guess they're just marking it harder now.

    english-B
    Irish-B
    French-B

    I basically got the same as Liz;

    All Higher;
A English (delighted, worked so hard for it)
    A Maths (as above)
A Irish (go to a Gaelscoil)
A History (proved my teacher wrong)
A Geography (don't know how I did that)
    A French (worked for that)
    A German (worked for that)
A Music (was going to happen anyway)
A Science (pulled a flower out of my ass for that)
    A Cspe (bull****)
    A Religion (and more bull****)

So now I'm using this to get to the Wolfmother concert and probably see friends in Switzerland and another ton of crap like that.

My niece got 5 As and 5 Bs. Excellent, but not quite as good as some people here.

If any one didn't do as well as most of the people here on the JC board, remember that this group may not be representative of the population as a whole - the people here tend to be bright, computer savvy and quite a few are CTYIers, so there's no shame in not doing as well as them.
Am soooooooooo happy!!! Freaked everyone out in the internet café when I got them then couldn't explain why I was so happy owing to my distinct lack of French...

    Are you in France?

Why would people appeal for the Junior Cert? For a letter on a piece of paper that isn't even important. I encourage everyone doing the LC to have their papers rechecked if they honestly think that they did better - the LC matters! But the Junior Cert isn't even important.

Anyway, I got all honours and was really happy with my results! I didn't study AT ALL (actually didn't..i hate when people say that but actually did study!) do I thought I did good.

Maths - B (Really happy with this)

Irish - C (I cant believe I passed Irish let alone get a C in higher level!!!)

English - B (Unbelievable...I just waffled through the paper)

History - B (Again, really pleased)

Geography - C (Thought this was tough..don't like geography!)

German - B (I barely passed the mocks so I'm happy!)

Woodwork - A (I thought the one A that I would get would be in Science. I actually hate woodwork)

Science - B (Wanted an A but I deserved this seeing as I didn't study)

CSPE - B (Got an A in the mocks. Still a gud result though)
