He has been re-arrested and now the DPP have guaranteed that the book of evidence will be ready next week.

The only reason there was an overall decrease in the crime stats last year is because people don't bother their arses reporting crime anymore. Whats the point??
I've been to several customers who have been recently burgled, and didn't bother to report it, because either A.) Nothing of significant financial gain was taken, B.) They have no faith whatsoever in the Gardai, or C.) They feared retaliation from the offenders.
In a lot of cases its ALL THREE reasons.

The whole Dept. of Justice is corrupt and should have been de-frocked long ago.
Look at the local Judge for this area - Donnocha O'Buachalla; He's still practicing as a judge and has a bloody lot to answer for! You should see some of the daft decisions he has made over the years.... Including sleeping with the BLACK WIDOW (Catherine Nevin)!....
He even got a mention in the book for it, but yet he's the one who decides whether or not our Town will be safe from an offender, or whether he will be let loose. How does he justify giving probation to someone who is ALREADY on probation?? Whole thing smells of the Charles Haughey era.... (who coincidentally got Buachalla the job as judge in the first place).

We can all discuss it and we all have our opinions - but realistically, does it make any difference?? I think not...

Leaving aside the issue of whether anyone in the DoJ wears frocks: if I were to find a single civil servant in the DoJ who isn't corrupt, you'd happily retract this entire ridiculous sweeping generalisation, right?
