    ...'Walking the Dog' by Bernard MacLaverty, a short story set in Northern Ireland sometime during 'the troubles'? I ask as I've to write an essay on this story and cannot figure out exactly when during 'the troubles' it is set. I'm thinking late 70's - early 80's, the author does not make it clear (I think he tries to, maybe I'm just not seeing the signs). Anybody help? :confused:
