safety for bringing boards home

    böm dia from ericia portugal! just wondering about how safe it is bringing boards back through the plane? two guys here had their's damaged ? anyone know is that common?A new 7´2 NSP is about 250 here supposadly! PS wicked waves here yesterday! really good spot here

    also does anyone know the cost of transporting?

    I'm not sure if you actually have to pay to bring boards on a plane, might depend on the airline though.

    I recently brought 2 boards (7'8" mini mal and a 6'8" fish) from Australia. Just checked it into the oversized luggage desk and that was it. Went through 3 airports unscathed!

    Make sure you remove the fins though!

    It's something like €50 each way on ryanair.

    €30 each way with Aer Lingus.

    Actually heading out to Ericeira for 2 weeks surfing on Monday, hope the conditions continue.
