Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

We're running an event in the Dublin Fringe Festival tonight and one of our camera ops has pulled out which leaves us screwed somewhat.

We need a camera op from about 9pm TONIGHT to 1am (or as much time as you can offer). We'll supply Canon XL1s and it will basically be to man a near locked off shot of the stage.

Can't offer payment (as this is not for profit event) but CAN offer you beers for the night.

Also as an extra reward (so may suit students) you will get to work with big name acts such as The Orb , Belka & Strelka & Transit Kings

These guys have worked with the likes of Paul McCarthney, The Verve and most recently Primal Scream so may be a worthwhile portfolio excercise for a student.

If you / or know anyone interested then please send me a PM

He he, offering to pay with beer might result in poor camera focus/steadyness. I'd do it, but I'm in London

Hmmm, do you not have a main camera that's covering the entire stage that can be left unattended, ie it'd be your safety shot for when there's no cutaways from the other cameras.

Then use that camera person to man the one you're on about. It not looking good for getting some one!

that's what i ended up doing last night , ended up using a load of gaffer tape because given the layout of the spiegeltent (think circus with loads of pillars) the camera had to left in a fairly vulnerable position which with a €3,000 camera is not exactly ideal

but sure it worked out well in the end and the tassle club / burlesque party beforehand was only ****in savage :-)
