Ok, so nowhere will take me on as a sound engineer or radio producer so I've taken to recording and producing my own weekly podcast available from

http://seanear1ey.wordpress.com

or if you listen to your podcasts via itunes
itpc://feeds.feedburner.com/Seanear1eysBlog

basically it's a magazine show with a mix of indie-rock record reviews with suggestions of websites, gigs and films worth seeing. it runs around 10mins so it wont take up too much of your time.

thanks
sean

Hello!

I am writing share a sound piece I have created which is part of a remix project I am working on that responds to a vinyl recording of Orwell's 1984. Instrumentation includes analogue synth and sampled live drums. Field recordings include protests, propaganda, warning alarms, NYSE stock exchange, dice rolling, camera flashes, pesticide spraying and the vinyl recording of Orwell’s text.

Here's the first track to listen to:

Broadcasting from the hills of Donegal in Ireland. The Irish Side Of The Moon is a weekly internet Radio show covering topics that the Mainstream Media won't cover, or if covered will do in biased way. We believe that by giving people different information it can help them make different decisions (usually better). Have you ever heard the mainstream media cover:
1) How money comes into existence?
2) Why is nearly every Country in the world got a national debt?
3) Who are they in debt to?

Similar inconsistencies are in Health, Energy, Education, Political, spiritual etc. To make an informed decision you need as much information as possible from as many angles as possible. We passionately believe that people are at best getting limited and biased information, and so in our way are playing a part in addressing this injustice. Our show goes out live on http://www.wadiomedia.org/ every Tuesday @ 22:30.

A friend of mine has a 2 hour slot on HKC Radio (www.hkcradio.com) from 3pm - 5pm and I said I'd plug it for him here.

Lawler Live is the name of the show and it's two hours of chat, good music and just general fun.

I know the presenter of the show. He is the manager of the Training Centre of NCBI in Drumcondra and is an all round great guy.

You can check out previous podcasts on Stuart's website @ www.stuartlawler.ie

What to do when you don't have a radio show?

Why broadcast from your shed of course. Since the World Cup began i've been pruning clips from the commentary and punditry that we've all been exposed to and splicing them together for amusement.

This is not out of date meanderings on the formations, tactics, players and managers..

Check out the results if you fancy it...
http://slightlyoffthepoint.podbean.com/

also on itunes...

thanks now.

Jazz on the 'Net
Thought the thread could use a spot for i-net jazz radio, so I thought I'd kick it off an invite.

I live in Dublin, and I'm a long time (4 years) jazz radio host on a Shoutcast server group called Circe's Circle Radio. It streams on any listen.pls player and in my case; also into a jazz nightclub in Second Life. If you'd like, please tune it in or come in to SL sometime and join in the music and conversation.

To tune in any Sunday evening at 18:00 GMT, just look up the website; www.coffeeandpajamas.com

I'm looking to do this show live in a club in Dublin with a simulcast into and out of Second Life, if anyone has any interest in doing that with me ie: performing or geeking - please let me know!

Anyone else is doing jazz on the web from Ireland??
