    Ya, i remember John Motson commentating at one game and he said
    "and Seamen comes rushing out....."

    Yeah, and i recall during and england and west indies test match at cricket, during the radio four commentary, the commentetaor said the following

    "the batsman's Holding.
    The Bowler's willey."

    The place fell about for 5 minutes

    A mate of mine went out with a girl a good while ago.
    His name is Jody Cox and hers was Imogen Pollard
    She wanted to keep her name and have his as well when they were going to get married

    Yea, the story goes that when he was thinking of moving over to the States, some punter who was interviewing him regard working on TV over there recommended that he changed the name.

    Imaging that - from the country where people have names like "Randy Persons".

    An american I know was getting some smart answers over here a few months ago because he was introducing himself to people by saying "hello I'm Randy". He changed his intro line quick enough after the first day.:)

    I swear this is true. A kid at my school was called Richard Head.

    This was a name I particularly remember (no, I don't know why) from a great list taken from US telephone directories and published years ago in a book by Richard Boston called Baldness be My Friend. I wish I still had it, cos the full list is incredible.
