Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Factory reset of a Blackberry 7290

I've acquired an LFD (left for dead) BB and would like to wipe all content (messages, contacts, etc.). I've upgraded it with an increased life battery thanks to eBay and I'd like to give it to the missus to replace her stone-age Nokia.

The only reference I can find on any site is to remove the battery but that's no good.

    Any idears?

Is there a pinhole at the back to reset? Stick a pin in it if there is. Might be under battery or battery cover

There should be a small pinhole under the battery cover.
    That should do the trick.

Thanks all. Found a small hole but it didn't appear to do anything. Following a post here (master clear), I got as far as enabling the password and there was a menu option to wipe the handheld. That seems to have done the trick.

Whilst I'm here, can anyone tell me if the Blackberry service is provisioned on o2 Speakeasy SIMs? I'm getting "Data connection refused" when the device powers up. I had the same SIM in an XDA and was never able to get a GPRS web connection up on it (WAP over GPRS worked though). I did ring CS and get them to enable GPRS on my SIM but that didn't appear to make any difference.

I'm wondering if this is the same issue I'm having with the Blackberry.
