Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The teams not yet selected, but expected from these squads:

Liverpool (from): Reina, Finnan, Agger, Hyypia, Carragher, Aurelio, Pennant, Luis Garcia, Alonso, Sissoko, Gerrard, Zenden, Crouch, Kuyt, Bellamy, Fowler, Dudek, Gonzalez, Warnock.

Newcastle (from): Harper, Krul, Carr, Ramage, Babayaro, Bernard, Bramble, Moore, Taylor, Ramage, Huntington, Parker, Butt, Emre, Duff, N'Zogbia, Milner, Pattison, Ameobi, Martins, Sibierski, Luque, Rossi.

I'k looking for a win. Stevie G said that its an important one, not a must-win though, but thats just words at the end of the day. Fingers crossed.

I assume because it was a rearranged game so they didnt plan for it at the start.

HEHEH the synopsis coming up on ntl digital says " Ford football special, 10.00 - 11.00, action from the premiership clash between Liverpool and Newcastle at stamford bridge". Small error , but hey, I get my laughs where I can find them.:)

Incidentally, if anyone has a spare ticket for the spurs game on saturday, I'm really stuck for one, 4 of us going with only 3 tickets so far.

It's refixed from when Liverpool were playing European preliminaries. It's on Canal + and all that though, so you'll catch it you go to a boozer that has all them mad channels, doubt McDs will though.

I know they're only words, but Gerrard's statement shows a bit of a lack of ambition. If you want to challenge for the league, you must win your home games and draw your aways. Having lost at Chelsea, and also at Everton, every home game is currently a must-win, at least until they rack up an away win or two. Unless of course he's already given up on the league. ;)

Not entirely happy with Roeder's team selection but looking forward to this nevertheless. We have to win at Anfiled sometime but I'll settle for a draw. If only Owen was fit...

Once again I see Ncstle have no defenders on the bench. God help us if Moore were to get sent off or injured.

Liverpool are playing ok, f!@king long ball sh1t from Newcastle. Atmosphere sounds non-existant which is unusual for an evening game between these two sides.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,561 ✭✭✭GrumPy

Newcastle are playing terrible, just cant move the ball around on the ground, keep balloning it up front, and losing it.

Parker is playing heroic as ever. England call-up PULEAZE!

    this link has good picture.

Liverpool are all over them. Agger, Garcia, Alonso, Gerrard & Kuyt all playing well. Sissoko aint doing much..take Aurelio off, giving away possesion too much.

Fantastic to see Kuyt get his first goal. Anyone see that bit of skill by Garcia towards the start to play Bellamy into space ? Brilliant!

For Newcastle's sake I hope he continues to be ignored by England, we don't need anymore injuries thanks.

Is that a reliable link? If so its bookmarked! It must be American judging by the kickoff times just mentioned.

Complete homer of a ref. Blatant handball and stone cold penalty.

Edit: there's the Bellamy I remember!

Luis Garcia ball to hand maybe, Carragher could have avoided hand contact, and the ref wasn't to know Ameobi was offside considering the flag never went up.

I dont think the keeper would have got it, they have shown a few replays on ART and it seemed to come in very high.

howler nothing, he was beaten before he slipped

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,482 ✭✭✭RE*AC*TOR

It was definetly partly the goalkeepers fault. He was unlucky to slip, but there is a case that the slip was caused by the unpredictability of the shot.

Either way, no prizes for guessing man of the match.
