Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone getting a pretty bad slowdown/high latency on EsatBTs 3mb/s broadband service lately?

I'm getting only a max of 100-180kbps from american sites, even lower with easynews, and cant seem to reach 300kbps elsewhere, when a few weeks ago it was no problem.

    Or am I alone?

Me two, over the last couple of nights, it'd been fluctuating wildly.. one min can be getting a decent download from speedtest, then the next minute - this... (see attachment)

I've been experiencing bad speeds too for a few weeks and no one seems to know what's causing it

Have never received 3mbs. Had it tested by Tech Support and all kinds of excuses were given. ! It is almost always at 2mb/s so I have asked to be charged for 2mb and not 3mb. Why pay for something that is not provided. ?
I think if everybody asked for this then something might be done. The 3mb is advertised with much fanfare and people sign up for it, so if its not provided it should not be advertised, nor paid for. !

The most accurate way to test your download speed is to go to ftp://ftp.heanet.ie and download a large file. (If you don't have Open Office, you might find that worthwhile).
