Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but i didn't really see anywhere suitable to stick this in under the 'edu' tab.

I'm looking to study internationaly next year, either in the UK or North America, i was just wondering if anyone has done this and how they went about applying for grants... I understand you can apply from the EU or your country of Origin, can you also apply from the College you're applying to?

How much could one expect to receive, ideally i would like to get enough to cover tuition fees and accomodation.. In fact i'd pretty much need that to ensure i could study abroad!!!!

So yeah, any information anyone could offer is greatly appreciated as i am rather clueless about this subject and again, i apologise if this is in the wrong forum.

    Rgds,
    Dan

I'm studying in Scotland and I get my fees paid by SAAS (a government body). I'll start to pay them back once I'm earning over £10,000 per year. You can also apply for means-assessed loans here.

I think the user Myth has a lot of information about getting grants, but that might be just revelant to Ireland.

I think the Distance forum under Edu would be your best bet for info, though.
