    Busy times at GSRecs.

Some good stuff surfacing from within the ranks of GigSmart as GSRecs begins the see some of the output coming together from the inaugural recording projects. Since the crew has settled into its HQ in Dublin city centre we've been recording a number of GigSmart and Independent projects that have produced some great tracks across a number of different genres from metal As The Skies Fall to the melodic musings of Ebo.

Due at the end of October, the first GSRecs Compilation (GSRecs 1) sees tracks recroded by some familiar gigging bands within the GigSmart community (The Monday Club, EBO, Selwyn, The Ruse, Bravest Kid in School, Burma Shade) and a couple of new comers too. The project was conceived as an opportunity to create commradary amongst the bands and kicks off GSRecs in the spirit it was set up.

Nuemrous line ups will be posted over the forth coming months with GSRecs featured bands including the next outing in the Temple Bar Music Centre Saturday Sept 30th and also the Hallowe'en bash in Carlow in the Music factory at the end of October.

Kids Dont Play it Safe recorded a three track demo over a recent weekend with us and will join Innvocation and Neon Stars onstage on the 30th. Neon Stars are penned in to begin their new forth coming 4 track EP beginning this week, with Innvocation likely to follow around November.

Eves Alibi also relative new comers to GigSmart are close to completion on two new tracks, we hope to have final mixes complete within the next couple of weeks. Expect to see the lads on a GS stage soon and a track may be included on GSRecs 1

We're also in negotiation with a couple of other bands to work out financing and terms for some more EPs and possibly an Album or two aswell running up until christams. As we said at the outset its all about makin the music and increasing the community output and working with the bands that wanna do the business.

Finally - the GSRecs Judgement Disc is looking like a new year release as an EP rather than the anticipated album length production. Tracking will begin mid october with some interesting songs being covered by members of the GigSmart community. Should be fun and many thanks the folks that followed through to make this happen. All tracks covered in this project will be licensed with the assistance of our friends at IMRO.

    All the best ,

    GSrecs
