pro evo society

hey, i just saw this society listed on the ditsu website. i saw some guys playing pro evo the other day in the student lounge [aungier st.], but i didnt see anywhere to sign up. Anyone know much about this society and how to get involved?

You'll get chance to sign up at freshers week. Thats where all the societies whore themselves about how great they are, take your money and then piss off and not organise anything.

Well thats a very cynical point of view.

But he is right, in the past there has been some right shambles of societies, but then again some do make the effort, Drama Soc, Net Soc Paintball soc karting soc, ski soc and poker soc all did their part.

Law soc and some others were non existent, I want my two euro back you nazi's!

The Pro Evo was actually a tournament organised by the X-Box Centre - were going around offering 1 hour free credit to all participants and €25 and €50 credit for the runner-up and winner respectively... I think it was at Kevin St. and Bolton St. as well, although not sure.

AFAIK, Pro Evo Soc is no more - sad, because I got to the semi-finals of that tournament... I'd forgotten how jammy I am!

well you only need 15 people to create a society and get funding

im sure they would probably provide funding for the pro evo 6 game out before the end of the month, and maybe even a playstation, as for TV's for the game, i know the kevin street snackery has about 3 or 4, im not sure what aungier street has

could be a good bit of fun for a society

theres 2 TV's in aungier, we could use those??

how do go about setting up a society? or is it too late into the year for that now?

Set up your own society just for Kevin street, it would be alot handier.

aye 'tis quite good. haven't played pro evo5 in ages so it was nice to jump in with a 2-0 win
