Contacted the dealer and he offered to drop the price to €3250.

Was someone murdered in it cos it sound too good to be true?
Any tips on what might be the best course of action

Tell us a bit more about it. Does it have a service history? What's the condition like? How many owners? Has it had a timing belt? They tend to go through head gaskets, other than that they're an ok car.

I'd say the price is just right for a low milage 6 yr old Rover that's been minded like a baby.

If someone's been shot in it (know someone who bought such a vehicle) I'd say 1500

    Yep...............RUN AWAY VERY FAST.

Seriously though.....................Rover are over, bust. iF you are unlucky enough to need an obscure part for it in the future then you could be in trouble. I know of a collection of late model Rovers and MG's that are unrepairable due to lack of parts. Most parts are available but some are not.

    Hi,

Yes thats right. Catapiler, the machine people do them. Most parts are available but some are not. Things like CCU's. These give loads of trouble and the car cant run without it.

Thanks for the tips, I'm gonna give this a miss as (pretty much) everyone has told me to avoid rovers.

I disagree - Rovers are a fantastic car and parts wont be a problem at all in the future.
Plenty of scrappers in the scrap yards.
