Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shared Documents "Access is Denied" problem

    Hi,

Recently, my shared documents folder (with all my music in it) started giving me an "Access is Denied" error. I googled it and found out that i had to change back the file permissions in order to gain access to it again using cacls.exe.

My problem is that i cant figure out a way to run the command on every folder and subfolder in the Shared Documents directory all at once, because it takes ages to type it all out for 1 folder only to find that all the subfolders all have the same problem.

How could i do it all at once?

    Help would be really appreciated.

Go to the pc that has the folder. Right click on the folder, go to properties, click on security, advanced, set the permissions there and tick the box to replace permissions on child objects. Then go to sharing, permissions and set your permissions there. Should do the trick.
