Internet slow this weekend? (BT BB)

Anyone else experiencing problems with BT Broadband being very slow today and yesterday? Or is it just me?

www.google.com is taking an age to come up, but some other sites like Boards.ie are fine. Is this a BT problem or are others experiencing it with other ISP?

I'm Dublin 6 area, was wondering if it is something to do with the exchange. My connections keep dropping or timing out, and my downloads from fast servers (i subscribe to GameShadow so get premium downloads) are running about 80k, rather than the normal 200k. Will give BT a shout tomorrow if it doesn't improve

an awful lot of the UK Interheweb was hosed by a power outage today at lunchtime. While its kinda mainly back up a lot of reorutes around it are very congested.

If your UK hosted server is down or slow .....they KNOW about it trust me.

Anyway the UK problem was not BTs fault .

from what I could see from my usage of the net it seemed fine at this end anyway :rolleyes:

Anyone notice a drop in speed today ? I tried the www.url.ie/qv download and it evened out at 170KB/s.

There is a general fault in the 02x area - has been that way a few days with no idea when they will have it fixed.
