Can someone clarify me on this subject. Ive seen the posters around the city but dont know where it is... I heard a rumour that its where the blue bamboo used to be???

Oh and Abi Titmus officially opened it.. was anyone there? good/bad?

The reason for this thread is I wanna go next friday night. Colleen shannon (the unreal one from this years love island) is doing a DJ set there. Could'nt care less what music she plays as long as she's scantily clad whilst doing so.

yeah it's where blu bambu was... drove past it the other day. I can only imagine that if the ever insufferable Abi Titmus opened it, it's a good sign that it'll be as bad as blu bambu was. Expect faux leather shoes, worryingly tight blue jeans and check shirts from floor to ceiling.

Couple of friends went to the "opening" and said it was pretty much the exact same. Only thing that has changed is that they removed the carpet and replaced it with a wooden floor. Thank Christ too because the carpet made the place reek of vomit and drink. Also a smoking room is now open on the second floor. Having Abi Titmuss open it just shows what type of clientelle they hope to get to the place. On a side note, Blu Bambu used to have tossers for bouncers and it has recently come to my attention that those bouncers now work on SoHo's doors. It all adds up now!

:D I would be one of those who vomitted on the carpet there. I like to think it was my way of showing how bad the place was... Actions speak louder than words...

Ahhhhh, that makes much more sense. I saw loads of posters on the front of the old Capitol cinema on Grand Parade. I though the club was opening in there. I thought that was a complete waste of space. Blu Bamboo, couldn't care less. Never liked that place, doubt I'll like Club Earth. FFS, they have a "solar lounge" and "lunar something else".

Those posters were on the front every closed shop in the city. I was convinced (and subsequently confused) that it was opening in the old o2 shop on Patrick Street...

i was at the opening, didnt see abi titmus, club was jointed and bar staff overworked(took me a long time to get a drink) and the casino was a black jack table... It's the same as blu bamboo, there's even the bamboo shoots in the bar upstairs still up.

 well lets hope they dont leave every 17 year old and scut in cork in there again, if they made the blu bamboo over 20s in the first place they wouldnt have to rename/reopen it and they would have a normal crowd going there!!!!!
what a waste of a night club! getting like cubins now with the under agers and psycho bouncers!

AOS security took over the door at Blu Bamboo shortly before it closed down and are now looking after Earth.

They are a far better company than the one that was there before them so I reckon the clientele in Earth will be decent enough.

Was there last night, saw "The worlds sexiest DJ". Bloody awful. She was on for 30 mins i think. Desperate place, never going again.
It is Blu Bamboo," a rose by any other name..." or in this case "A pile of s**t by any other name....".
