Max file is an action replay file usually containing an option file or game save, what did you get or what are you trying to do?

.max extension is given to files when taken from memory card to max drive pen drive. It also zips it to some degree aswell I believe. You would have got 2 cd's with your mas drive a ps2 one and an pc one. put your pen drive in the pc and run the pc cd and then extract the files from there.
