Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I really know absolutely nothing...

...about sound recording, but I want to record some day to day sounds outdoors in order to incorporate them into some animation projects I'm working on. Can anyone please tell me the cheapest, but still reasonable quality method I could use?

Like the equivalent of someone going around with a cheap digital camera and taking snap-shots, except for sounds.

What tool/machine/piece of kit could I use?

    Thanks a lot.

A Mini Disk recorder is probably your best bet. Then get a decent mic. Cost about £200 for both at a guess. You can pick up the MD recorder on Ebay and get a good rifle mic cheap enough.
